The Rajang corridor is closely tied to local licensing, permits and community relationships. Many businesses here can only be owned and run well by a locally anchored operator. Merit alone is not enough, and neither is capital alone.
Eastern Rajang Capital's operator is Sarawakian Bumiputera. Every acquisition is structured with the operator on board and holding majority equity at entry. Investors bring the funds and, where they have it, the expertise. The operator brings the standing to run the business day to day.

No acquisition proceeds without a named operator who will run the business and hold majority equity at entry.
Local and foreign investors are both welcome. Banking, approval and reporting arrangements are agreed for each deal and set out in writing. Where an investor has relevant sector expertise, an operating role can be agreed as well.
Each acquisition is held in its own company. Investors decide deal by deal after reviewing that deal's details, and hold shares in the company that owns the business. We keep the number of investors small and do not promise returns or outcomes.
Minimum amounts differ for Malaysian and foreign investors, and are shared in a private conversation. On larger deals, local and foreign investors participate in matching amounts.
Private discussions are limited to Sophisticated Investors under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 (Malaysia).
